WHAT IS FDM?

As the 3D printing industry matures, we can see a variety of printing techniques emerging all useful in their own right. First up we look into FDM and why this technology is useful for practical products.

Fused deposition modelling (FDM) is the process of building a 3D model by melting plastic and depositing this down layer by layer until the model is complete. Think of this as a hot glue gun but a smaller and accurate version.
